In celebration of Kushok’s 23rd anniversary, we welcome all members, friends, and family to join us on March 18th, 2023. We have chosen this day to honour our extraordinary and precious teacher and to express our deep gratitude for his guidance and presence in our lives.
We will begin with Guru Puja from 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Guru Puja (Lama Chopa) is a practice in the Gelug tradition of making offerings to our Spiritual and Lineage Master. You are very welcome to bring offerings for the shrine such as fruit, flowers, or sweets.
At 1:00 PM, we will celebrate with food, karaoke, music, and laughter! We invite you to join us in the festivities.
Kushok arrived in Edmonton on March 18, 2000. Kushok’s arrival was so wonderfully opportune. Since that day, without fail, Kushok has worked steadfastly and tirelessly throughout the last 23 years, to bring the pure Gelugpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhist teachings to our Centre. Since we started offering our courses online in 2020, his teachings are now able to reach spiritual seekers across Canada and throughout the world, allowing more people to gain the benefit of the Dharma.
We also wish to honour and express our gratitude to our members, who are integral to the operation, maintenance, and continuation of the Centre. They, through their dedication to Kushok, make the Temple a home, a place of refuge, and one big family. It is our wish to make sure members know how important they are to Kushok and the Society and to make sure that they know their support is valued.
