Insight Meditation for Beginners: An Introduction to Vipassana Meditation

Spiritual Director Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe welcomes new and returning students to join him for a new 3-week introductory course, Insight Meditation for Beginners: An Introduction to Vipassana Meditation, beginning Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
Vipassana, commonly known as “Insight” or “Penetrative Insight”, is a Tibetan Buddhist technique of Analytical Meditation. In this introductory course, Kushok would like to introduce the practice of Vipassana, or Insight Meditation, to a general audience.
You will learn:
- The historical background of this practice
- The benefits of Insight Meditation, from both a Tibetan Buddhist and practical perspective
- How and when to practice Insight Meditation
This course is open to all beginner and experienced meditators alike.
The course fee is $45 CAD.

Refund Policy: An individual may receive a refund, less a $15 administration fee, if they request the refund from the Society Office by email, before 2:00 PM the day after the first class.
Please register by Friday, January 13. The Zoom link will be sent by Monday, January 16.
This course will be held at the Alberta Centre for Peace and Meditation, 11403-101 Street, Edmonton, AB T5G 2A9. Students are welcome to attend in person or online via Zoom.
