About the Alberta Centre for Peace and Meditation

By participating in the Silent Auction in Support of the Alberta Centre for Peace and Meditation, you will not only have the opportunity to acquire exquisite treasures but also contribute to a meaningful cause. Whether you are a first-time meditator or an active Buddhist practitioner, the Gaden Samten Ling Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Society provides a warm and welcoming environment in which to practice and explore the path of Tibetan Buddhism.

The Alberta Centre for Peace and Meditation, a stunning edifice built in 2012 in the style of a Tibetan monastery, serves as the hub for our non-profit, volunteer-driven organization. Since our incorporation in 1991 under Alberta’s Societies Act, we have been dedicated to upholding, disseminating, and teaching Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and practice, particularly the Gaden Tripa tradition of the Gelugpa lineage.

Our Society has a rich history and a strong bond with our root guru, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. By partaking in the silent auction, you will contribute to our ongoing efforts in fostering peace, mindfulness, and the dissemination of Tibetan Buddhist teachings.

Additionally, your involvement in the silent auction will support our Society’s mission to provide a range of activities, including meditation sessions, Buddhist philosophy courses and retreats, Vajrayana practices, and cultural events and Dharma festivals. Your generosity will directly impact the accessibility and continuity of these invaluable offerings, ensuring that individuals can find solace, guidance, and community within our welcoming environment.

Join us for the Silent Auction and be a part of making a positive impact while acquiring remarkable items and experiences.
