Spiritual Director Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe welcomes new and returning students to join him for a one day retreat in  Cultivating Patience. This retreat will provide valuable information about how to manage life’s difficulties through learning how to overcome anger to find inner peace.

The patience chapter is a reflection on how to focus our lives on benefitting others and avoiding harming them; this concept of non-harming is the very core and heart of the Buddhist path. Cultivating a heart that wishes not to harm others is essential to developing the skill of patience. Patience in the Buddhist path doesn’t mean grinning and bearing suffering, it means cultivating a mind that deeply understands the root causes of suffering and then transforming our mind, speech and actions to avoid these causes so that our days can be filled with more joy.
