Kushok, our Spiritual Director, is excited to invite you to join us for a NEW and profound Mind Training Series called, Finding Happiness in a World Full of Suffering.

Kushok will provide teachings and commentary on Atisha’s Seven Point Mind Training which provides rare practices on transforming adverse conditions into the path of enlightenment. Atisha is an ancient Indian Buddhist master who lived in the10th century and brought these teachings to Tibet where they are widely practiced by the Tibetan masters to this day.

The Seven Point Mind Training is one of the best-known sets of instructions for mind training (lojong) and the practice of taking and sending (tonglen). The Seven Points comprise a complete practice, with instructions and guidance that cover all the essential points of Mahayana (Great Scope) Buddhism and allow us develop the qualities of compassion, wisdom and inner peace.

“All of us have things we’d change about our attitudes. Some people want to be less angry, some want to be more caring, and others want to overcome jealousy. Mind training in Buddhism is an advanced practice that allows us to see every feeling, emotion and experience in a different light, so that we can turn any situation we encounter into a path to enlightenment.” from StudyBuddhism.com
