For 34 years, Gaden Samten Ling Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Society has had the privilege of hosting and sharing the rich traditions, culture, and hospitality of Tibet with our community. We warmly invite you to join us for a memorable weekend of authentic experiences, meaningful connection, and cultural celebration.

Join Tibetan Doctor Menpa Tsultrim Kalsang for an engaging introduction to the principles of Traditional Tibetan Medicine, a holistic system that has nurtured physical, mental, and emotional well-being for centuries.

In this insightful public talk, you'll learn how Tibetan Medicine understands the interconnectedness of body, mind, and environment, the underlying causes of illness, and practical approaches to cultivating lasting health and balance. Whether you're interested in holistic wellness, traditional healing practices, or Tibetan culture, this presentation offers a unique opportunity to learn from an experienced Tibetan physician.

Following the talk, attendees will have the opportunity to book a private consultation with Dr. Tsultrim and purchase authentic Tibetan herbal medicine.

Private consultations are 30 minutes and advance booking is recommended. Appointments can be requested below.

About Doctor Menpa Tsultrim Kalsang:

Tibetan Doctor Menpa Tsultrim Kalsang is an internationally respected practitioner, researcher, educator, and author specializing in Traditional Tibetan Medicine. Born in Tibet and educated in India, he graduated from the Tibetan Medical & Astro Institute (Men-Tsee-Khang) in Dharamsala, earning his Menpa Kachupa degree in 1998 and his Menrampa degree in 2010.

For more than 25 years, Dr. Tsultrim has dedicated his career to the study, practice, and preservation of Traditional Tibetan Medicine. As a researcher with Men-Tsee-Khang, he conducted extensive field research on medicinal plants throughout the Tibetan Himalayas and authored six books, including works on Tibetan medicine, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine integration, therapeutic massage (Ku-nye), and Tibetan medicinal plants.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has established Men-Tsee-Khang's External Therapy Centre, served as Deputy Director of the Materia Medica Department, supervised wellness centers, contributed to the translation of classical Tibetan medical texts, and taught future generations of Tibetan medical practitioners. He also served as an Associate Professor at Namgyal Sowa-Rigpa College in Sikkim, India.

A registered Holistic Practitioner in Ontario, Dr. Tsultrim continues to share the wisdom of Traditional Tibetan Medicine through lectures, consultations, and educational programs across the world, helping people better understand holistic approaches to health, balance, and well-being.

Tibetan Medical Consultations

The consultation fee is $30 and can be paid for online by the links below. Any herbal medicine prescribed is around $60 to $90 for a three month supply and can be paid for by cash or e-transfer following the consultation. Tibetan medicine includes herbs with over 2,600 plant species documented for medical use from the Himalayan region.
