Entering the Buddhist Path

    Entering the Buddhist Path
    Sunday, September 13th, 2026
    11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Have you ever wondered...What is Buddhism really about?
Is it a religion, a philosophy, or a way of living? How can its teachings help us navigate the challenges of modern life with greater peace, wisdom, and compassion?

Whether you are completely new to Buddhism, curious about meditation, or looking to deepen an existing practice, this introductory workshop offers a welcoming and practical introduction to the Buddhist path.

Guided by Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe, you will explore the foundations of Tibetan Buddhism and discover how its teachings can bring greater peace, clarity, compassion, and wisdom into everyday life. This workshop is designed for beginners while also offering meaningful insight for those who are practicing Buddhism and wish to deepen their understanding.

During this workshop, you will explore:

-An introduction to the history and traditions of Tibetan Buddhism

-What it means to be a Buddhist practitioner

-The practical and spiritual benefits of Buddhist practice

-Foundational meditation techniques you can begin using right away

-How to continue and deepen your journey on the Buddhist path

This workshop will be taught by Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe, Spiritual Director of Gaden Samten Ling Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Society and Founder of the Alberta Centre for Peace and Meditation. "Kushok" is a title of respect given to monks from His Holiness the Dalai Lama's monastery, Namgyal Monastery.

All registered participants will receive access to the workshop recording, allowing you to revisit the teachings at your own pace.
