Spiritual Director Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe invites you to join him for a brand new 5-week online meditation course, Resilient Happiness: Meditation Techniques to Uplift and Inspire, beginning Wednesday, November 4th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
All of us experience negative emotion in our daily lives. Whether we are experiencing stress because of finances, family or the coming winter weather, everyone feels sad, worried, or discouraged at times. As the Covid-19 situation continues to affect our ability to work, gather and support each other, these feelings may be more frequent and disturbing.
Kushok advises that during difficult times we must learn to be mindful of our negative emotion and practice the specific meditation techniques required to uplift our mind and elevate our mood. In this online meditation course, Kushok will offer wisdom and practical techniques to recognize and subdue negative feelings. In addition, he will guide students in specific meditations to uplift their mind and cultivate positive emotions and the happiness we all desire. When we learn to notice and subdue the negative emotions before they take control, we free ourselves from so much conflict and suffering. As Kushok says, “then, we are free from the problem!”
There are no course prerequisites.
Anyone interested in learning meditation techniques to uplift their mind and stay positive during stressful or challenging times.
Currently the course will only be offered virtually until such time as we are able to safely open the Centre for regular classes. It is our intention to continue offering zoom classes as an option even after the Centre reopens.
