Shantideva Retreat On Patience
Sunday January 4th, 2026
10 am to 3 PM MST
Register:
Spiritual Director Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe welcomes new and returning students to join him Saturday, September 6th, for a one-day Shantideva retreat on Cultivating Patience. This retreat will provide valuable information about how to manage life’s difficulties through learning how to overcome anger and find inner peace.
In this retreat, Kushok will continue his commentary on the Patience chapter of Shantideva’s Way of the Bodhisattva. Shantideva presents patience as one of the six essential perfections that an altruistic person must cultivate on the path to enlightenment. In this chapter, he offers a profound and poetic exploration of how to understand and practice patience, not in a passive way, but in an active, wise response to suffering, harm and adversity.
Kushok requests that students make every effort to attend in person as the benefits of receiving these Teachings at the knee of the Lama are immeasurable. A zoom link will be provided a few days before to those registered for the zoom link and are unable to attend in person.
