Spiritual Director Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe welcomes new and returning students to join him for a four-week Buddhist philosophy course that begins The Great Scope, from the Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand series.

In this series, we explore the profound book Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand by the renowned master Pabongka Rinpoche. This text acts like a road map for the mind, condensing the vast wisdom of the Buddha into a clear, step-by-step path known as the Lam Rim, Stages to the Path of Enlightenment. Drawing from the teachings of great masters like Atisha and Je Tsongkhapa, Pabongka Rinpoche illuminates an unbroken lineage of wisdom that traces back to the Buddha himself. Following the Gelug tradition, the same lineage as His Holiness the Dalai Lama we invite you to discover how these timeless instructions can bring lasting peace and happiness to your life.

Currently, Kushok is guiding us through the "Great Scope," the inspiring section of the path dedicated to opening our hearts completely. Here, we learn how to develop Bodhicitta, the beautiful wish to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all living beings. We will explore how to cultivate deep compassion and love, transforming our ordinary motivation into something limitless and heroic. Everyone is welcome to join us as we learn to awaken the greatest potential within our own hearts.

    COURSE TEXT:

Liberation in the Palm of your Hand — A Concise Discourse on the Path to Enlightenment, Pabongka Rinpoche, edited by Trijang Rinpoche, new revised edition 2006. The text can be purchased on from Wisdom Publications (click here).
