In the freezing cold of January, temperatures in Edmonton can drop to -40°C. Right now, nearly 10,000 people in our city are homeless and hungry, including many women and children. This is a chance for us to turn our compassion into real-world help.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama teaches us that the best use of our lives is to serve others. By joining this event, you are building merit (positive energy) to help ease the suffering of those around us.

 What We Will Do

11:00 am - Prayer & Intention: We start with short prayers to focus our minds on kindness.

11:30 am- Baking: We will bake fresh muffins together as a group.

2:00 pm - Giving: We will hand out the warm muffins to people on the streets to bring a little happiness to a difficult day.

 Registration & Cost

Total Cost: $15.00

Where the money goes: $10.00 buys the baking supplies. $5.00 goes to GSL to help cover the cost of using the building.

Please register by Thursday, January 15, 2025 so that we can buy the supplies for the event and be ready to start baking! 

 This is our first time trying this event! Please join us as we work together to make Edmonton a kinder, warmer place for everyone.
