COURSE DESCRIPTION:

A fundamental practice of Vajrayana and Tibetan tantra is Deity Yoga (practice), which involves meditation and visualization of one’s chosen deity and mandala and recitation of associated mantras and prayers. Vajrayana deity yoga is practiced in two stages—Generation Stage and Completion Stage—depending on the practitioner’s capacity. For the benefit of our Members, Kushok will give a general explanation of the Generation Stage of Deity Yoga. He will briefly cover the origin and purpose of this practice, introduce the two Generation-Stage practices of front-generation and self-generation, and provide brief instruction on how to do both practices.
